Paw Paws
The paw paws were very good this year - some of the largest fruit I have seen. However, they are all but finished for this year. The remnants of hurricane Ike blew most of the remaining fruit from the trees and the flooding river washed away what was left on the ground.
Paw paws are very fragile and bruise very easily. Native Americans and early settlers ate paw paws.
